Comcast dropping the NFL Network?

No news breeds bad news apparently and while this is not necessarily Falcons related, it could have a huge impact on Falcons fans. It is being reported that Comcast may drop the NFL Network next month. This is when Comcast's carriage contract with the NFL Network is expected to be up. As of right now, the NFL Network is featured on Comcast's Digital Sports package. With the NFL Network trying to pressure cable providers to take the plunge and make it a staple of standard cable packages, it seems that a renewal of the current contract will not happen. Talks are slow and there seems to be no progress on resolving this issue at this time. Hopefully the two companies can work out some sort of compromise so all of us can get our NFL Network fix.
